Welcome To Vixtro

Vixtro was started as a sole trader business in 2002 with a goal of assisting Cisco Network Academies in need of support, equipment, and specialized accessories. We started by selling quality serial cross-over cables, routers, switches, hubs, Fluke Networks and Panduit equipment at discounted rates after establishing relationships with key manufacturers. In 2003, Vixtro became a Pty Ltd Australian registered company with ASIC and also changed its name from Vixtro Network Consultants (Sole Trader) to Vixtro Academy Shop Pty Ltd.

In 2003, Vixtro also organised a training day at Monash University with Fluke and Panduit as sponsors; its success was shown by Academy instructors flying in to Melbourne from New Zealand, South Australia and New South Wales, along with a local presence of Victorian instructors. The aim of the training day was to provide instructors advanced knowledge about equipment mentioned in the Cisco Academy Program, however rarely practically used in class. Vixtro has been through many transitions in the past few years including its highly regarded knowledge and focus in Education K-12, Cisco Network Academies and SMB (Small-to-Medium Business).

2006 saw Vixtro became a Cisco K-12 Education Partner and later in 2007 added to our partnership with Cisco by becoming a SMB Select Partner.

After gaining support of Cisco Systems Channel Managers for Cisco Networking Academies we opened our online shop "vStore" on the 20th of September 2009. The Vixtro team took on a belief that "as your academy supports us to support you, we endeavor to offer". This has offered Academies across Australia and Pacific Islands the opportunity to join our community of motivated members in providing quality and real world experience to students.

In 2010 the Managing Director (Paul Kingston) was privileged to attend and present at all Australian Cisco Networking Academy Mini-Conferences (Queensland - UQ, Western Australia - CIT, New South Wales - Cisco Systems, Canberra - CIT, Victoria - Cisco Systems), attend Academy organised training days, visit Academies across the country and collaborate with Academies and their instructors to assist with the exciting new projects on which Academies were about to embark. Vixtro has always supported Cisco Networking Academies and will continue to provide the best there is to those who wish to succeed.
