| Using a network of specially designed Agents, DMS+Aid makes use of a central management interface, called DMS Control, to retrieve data from configured data sources, process it, and sends relevant information to the configured agents in order to execute any defined tasks. Many systems administrators slave over custom made scripts attempting to complete similar tasks. This leaves an organization open to downtime risks when an administrator leaves or possible modification of custom scripts can lead to bringing down an entire network if data is incorrectly processed. Example: All employees in an organisation are required to have an Active Directory account, a mailbox on Exchange 2010, and a personal network folder, as well as privileges to a shared department folder. All employee information is stored in the database maintained by HR. The process of a technician manually creating accounts and mailboxes is time-consuming and doesn't always happen on the same day the employee is introduced to the organisation. |  |
DMS+Aid can be configured to retrieve selected employee information from the HR system, to quickly and efficiently, create login/users accounts, email mailboxes and network folders. Security permissions are easily automated to comply with the organizations security policy. Technicians need not even be a part of this process anymore - anyone in HR could have the DMS+Aid client open, and request that the DMS Control Agent run a specified set of tasks for a new employee, reducing the downtime of the employee. With so much automation, technical staff will have more free time to assist in an organization's other support matters. | |
